The Student Accessibility Services department at Dalhousie University provides equal education opportunities to students with disabilities. The department had outgrown their former facility and needed an environment to satisfy the specific needs of their students. The confines of the new location presented challenges to the operation and outlook of the department but also an opportunity to rethink the way that the centre can interact with the students. the new centre is designed to provide the students and staff with a space which they can consider their own as well as create a supportive and vibrant learning environment.
